The Academy Awards are always the point of discussion at this time of the year. Some of the greatest actors, film-stars, directors, producers and some of the best dresses make this event even brighter and classier with their mark.
The 88th Academy Awards have been slayed at by so many well-dressed celebrities that we can’t list all of them here. However, some of the best dressed ladies had to be Olivia Wilde, Priyanka Chopra, Jennifer Lawrence, Margot Robbie, Charlize Theron and so many more.
Apart from the showering of dresses from heaven, this year’s Oscars marked history with some of the greatest wins. Leonardo Dicaprio finally took the statuette home after a much anticipated wait of 6 years for the movie ‘The Revenant’. The director of same movie, Alejandro Gonzalez won the award for best director second time in a row. This hasn’t happened on the event since 1950!

Among others, one of the biggest highlights was the bittersweet moment when Sylvester Stallone lost the Best Supporting Actor to Mark Rylance. Another one being the moving speech by Sam Smith for calling attention to the LGBT community. Leonardo Dicaprio’s Speech calling out to the dangers of climate change and Lady Gaga’s chilling performance of ‘Till it Happens to You’.
Chris Rock really did rock the Oscars with the greatest of ever monologues a host could have ever given. Addressing the issue of #Oscarssowhite, Chris Rock made some really good points that need to be given a thought or two.
One of the things that made us happy was the presence of Priyanka Chopra at the Oscars looking like a queen. Being the best dressed at some of the Latest Fashion shows in India, the IIFA awards 2016, and some great fashion events in India, the multi-talented celebrity came yet again as one of the best dressed to the 88th Academy Awards.
All things considered, the 88th Academy Awards was a huge success with some of the greatest winners who addressed some of the much needed issues. We still hope that maybe next time, the nominated cast will be a little bit more diverse and people would really stop being so racist.
