Give those years of broken resolutions a rest; it’s time to FINALLY put on your Yoga Pants.

Over the years, fitness and health motivation have moved on from the clichés like “Health is Wealth” and “Fitness is Happiness” to a form of a lifestyle. Hogging onto those oily snacks has now been substituted with healthy munchies which seem to keep our waist line digits rigid. However, the struggle to wake up for an early morning workout still continues to haunt the many. With a fast moving society, it’s imperative that we switch to a healthier lifestyle. Moreover, a workout enables you to “invest” in yourself by cutting through the rut of life.

The daily monotony makes you accustomed to the existing reality taking away the temptation of shedding those extra pounds. So each time your brain signals you to sleep because an extra 5 minutes of sleep will keep you fresh in the day then you’re falling for the bait. Here’s an idea – How about you put an alarm for 5 minutes before and keep the clock as far as possible. Once you’re up and out your bed it’s half job done. Research shows that people who lose weight are likely to be happier than those who don’t. They stay more vivacious and are able to sleep better. If you’re living in the bubble where time commitment issues seem to be holding you back then worry no more -you can start with a 5 minutes workout regime*.

Here are a few tips for you to have a healthy lifestyle:

Workout from home: You can start with a 5 minutes workout* from the comfort of your home. i.e. 3 minutes on the spot jog, 30 Jumping Jacks, 10 crunches and 5 squats.


Set attainable goals: Start slow and don’t push yourself. If you’re a beginner a 20 minutes workout is go to start with. Don’t set an extremely high target nor fall for too low. Set a daily target and time yourself.


Drink Luke warm water with lemon: Early morning have warm water with lemon, if your taste buds refuse to accept this combination you can add a few drops of honey to it.


Switch to Green Tea: Instead of Tea have Green Tea. It’s a combo offer really! Because green tea has multiple benefits.


Eat dark chocolate: Dark chocolate contributes to your workout regime; moreover it acts as an antioxidant.


Drink lots of water(Room Temperature): 2 glasses of water after waking up, 1 glass 30 minutes post meal, 1 glass of water after taking a shower and 1 glass before going to bed. Have at least 8 glasses of water in totality inclusive of the above mentioned timely water routine.


Playlist: Have a workout playlist, songs that keep you going, that help you push it for those last 30 seconds.
